This book is an interesting take on the Egyptology-type adventure. The main character, Reid, is a young man in college, and we get to follow along as his team goes through a site analysis using modern equipment and methods, which I found thoroughly interesting. The author uses some of Egypt's old gods as leaping off points for some of the conflict of the story, which was also added a lot of interest to the story. I'd recommend it for readers interested in archaeology mixed with adventure, especially if you're interested in ancient Egypt.Product details

Well, fun for the reader but not for Reid...
Lisa has packed a lot of detail into this introductory adventure. She manages to evoke the feel of working in desert heat and excavating a new (well, technically old, but there's the fun part) tomb. When Reid and his team locate an artifact, there's no telling what will happen to them! I'll not drop spoilers, but note that the author has definitely done her homework when it comes to Egypt and the mythology thereof.
